Auto Photo Fix II function

PIXMA iP4970 features a "Auto Photo Fix II" function which equips with a scene categorization system that can automatically recognize the type of image and adopt the optimal correction based on the five shooting modes such as portrait, scenery, night scenery, snapshot (scenery) and snapshot (night scenery). This new function now offers intelligent Multi-zone Exposure Correction to get the best results from pictures that have been less than ideally exposed, by multi-zoning areas in an image which are under exposed and correct each zone independently. It then returns the original images to the most natural and ideal appearance. A new white balance correction function is also included for better color cast correction. Bright and natural skin color can be expected in portrait images.

PIXMA iP4970 supports 4 fun filters, simply install the bundled software disc and you can create fisheye, soft focus, toy camera and miniature effects. The fisheye effect is best for taking funny shots of pets and children; soft focus can soften skin tones; toy camera effect produces vignetting and color shift; miniature effect can simulate the look from a tilt-shift lens for a small-scale model look. PIXMA iP4970 is equipped with an upgraded full HD Movie Print function. With the use of bundled software, users can capture high quality prints from HD movie clips taken by Canon digital compact cameras or DSLR cameras*, and the printout mages will be optimized automatically.
